Potkins

Potkins are tiny magical beings that inhabit the world. Their origins are unknown, some say that they were created for entertainment, others think of them as espionage tools, but most pay no mind to those little creatures, and some find their presence endearing.

Potkins come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, but they don't exceed a hand's width. Scholars who take a matter in studying these beings have noticed that they can swap parts of their bodies with other objects prone to breakage, like pottery, glassware, dry twigs, crystals, bones, etc.

Potkins control their body parts by imbuing them with part of their magic, which may uncover an additional effect. Ice usually melts slower, gems become brighter, blades become sharper. These are just some of the abilities of Potkins, they are very capable creatures.

Potkins also do not talk, or at least they've never been heard talking, but they do sometimes emit a ringing hum of varying pitch when excited or scared, in fact they do express feelings and emotion and each one of them has its own personality.

Potkins are mostly friendly and curious, they like to form groups and explore. And, if they break, life moves on.
